Full-stack / Product Engineer

A type of work, not one opening. Join it from your career profile and you’re matched to Full-stack / Product Engineer roles as they open. No match is guaranteed, and no company sees you until you say yes.

Titles it covers

Full-stack. Full-stack Engineer, Fullstack Engineer, Software Engineer, Founding Engineer

Product Engineer. Product Engineer, Software Engineer, Product, Engineering Lead

Frontend / Design Engineer. Frontend Engineer, Web Engineer, Design Engineer, UI Engineer, Mobile Engineer

What strong looks like

Has shipped a product surface end to end and knows which part of the stack is their core. Has a performance, quality, or adoption number. Has made a design or product call themselves and been overruled at least once. Can say what they would not build again. Design Engineers can show the thing.

Core must-haves

  • Shipped a product surface end to end that they can show, with a declared core
  • Ownership in ambiguity: took a sketch to a shipped feature without a PM
  • Product judgement: has made a product call themselves and been overruled at least once
  • Full-stack competence: frontend framework plus a backend language plus a database
  • Communication with design and product without a translator
  • Builds with AI tools daily and can say what they shipped that was wrong

Across every profile: ownership in ambiguity; communication that survives a follow-up; ai-native practice; verifiable outcomes.

Good to have

  • Design sense: can make a screen good without a designer (Design Engineer sub-profile)
  • Growth or experimentation work: funnels, A/B tests
  • Customer-facing work: talked to users, fixed what they said
  • Mobile: iOS or Android
  • Infrastructure enough to deploy and monitor what they ship
  • A vertical domain where the product is hard

Seniority

Open from recent graduates to 15 or more years. We read level from what you have owned, not from years or brand. What the evidence looks like at each stage:

New grad to 2 years. A surface they built and can show, even a side project with real users. Judged on the product call they made and the live scenario. The market explicitly welcomes this band.

2 to 5 years. Owns a product area end to end, has a performance or adoption number, has had a product call tested by others' evidence.

5 to 10 years. Sets the bar for a small team's product work, has shipped through disagreement, chooses what not to build. Staff fullstack titles exist.

10 to 15+ years. Engineering lead or founding-engineer shape: sets how a company builds product, has done it at two or more companies.

What to bring

  • Two or three pieces of real work that fit the must-haves: how it came about, what was yours, what was reused, how you did it, what broke and how you fixed it.
  • How you work with AI agents. Where does AI sit in how you build product today, scaffolding, UI, tests, backend, or somewhere else?
  • What you’re looking for, and your constraints, which stay private.
